Bill Cosby decided to briefly talk to a NY Post reporter on the mounting rape allegations against him, which now includes accusations from former supermodel Beverly Johnson. The reporter was able to reach Cosby by phone at his Massachusetts home.

As expected, Cosby didn’t address any details of the allegations but instead decide to give a lecture to the media, specifically black media.

“Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind,” Cosby said.

When the comedian was asked how his wife was holding up in the midst of the scandal he offered this.

“Love and the strength of womanhood,” he said. “Let me say it again, love and the strength of womanhood. And, you could reverse it, the strength of womanhood and love.”

According to the Post Cosby sounded “upbeat” but he cut the conversation short saying, “They don’t want me talking to the media.”

He’s being represented by the crisis-management company Hiltzik Strategies along with attorneys Martin Singer and John B. Schmitt.
