Haiti – DR : Anti-return operation 3,767 Haitians intercepted at the border and turned back to Haiti

In addition, during the holidays, during joint operations against the smuggling of merchandise from Haiti, carried out in various cities of the provinces bordering Haiti, the military authorities seized : 6.8 tons of garlic, 2,166 cartridges of 10 packets of cigarettes; 450 kg of sugar in 18 bags of 25 kg each, 4 kilo of narcotics, a truck, a van and 35 motorcycles.
In addition, 426 bags of Guaconejo (a missing plant in Haiti due to wild harvest, highly sought after for its high value monetary oil) illegally collected on Dominican territory destined for Haiti were also seized.
