National Sports Personality For 2013 To Be Announced At Awards Ceremony

The National Sports Council will announce the National Sports Personality for 2013 at its 31st Awards Ceremony on Saturday, February 1, 2014.

Traditionally, the announcement is made prior to the event.

However, according to a statement released by the National Sports Council, the “new strategy is designed to heighten excitement and intrigue not only among the public for the Sports Personality award, but also for the various Barbadian athletes who would have performed exceptionally throughout the year.”

The National Sports Council has thanked the media for the National Awards nominations as well as for their cooperation in announcing the Sports Personality. (SP/BGIS)
