The search continues for a Manhattan woman and her two children after their plane went missing in the Bahamas.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the Long Island-bound plane left Puerto Rico around 11 a.m. Monday.
They say it was scheduled to make a refueling stop off Florida's east coast when it dropped off the radar just after 2 p.m.
The U.S. Coast Guard says it had found debris and an oil slick.
The people onboard have been identified as Jennifer Blumin of New York, her 3- and 4-year-old boys, and 52-year-old Nathan Ulrich of New Hampshire. He had been listed as the pilot.
Blumin is the founder of the event planning company Skylight Group and lives in the city.
Officials say the twin-engine plane was about 24,000 feet in the air when they lost contact.
The Coast Guard says there was no sign of bad weather at the time the plane disappeared.
