What Would Jay-Z Do If Beyoncé Cheated On Him?

Earlier we brought you news of Jay Z‘s convo with Van Jones (on Jones’ new CNN show) where he lit into the orange a-hole in the White House, who of course couldn’t take the heat and responded with a tweet. During that conversation between Mr. Carter and Jones, the veteran things got just as deep on a personal level for him when spoke about why he and Beyoncé made the decision to fight to keep their marriage intact. He referred to Bey as his “soulmate,” says he fought for their union because she’s “the person I love.” “You can be in love, and you can love someone, but if you haven’t experienced love and you don’t understand it, and you don’t have the tools to move forward, then you’re going to have complications.” He made the point that when you are in a relationship, couples can address their issues or just pretend that somehow on its own things will change for the better. “For us, we chose to fight for our love, for our family. To give our kids a different outcome. To break that cycle for black men and women. We were never a celebrity couple, we were a couple who just happened to be celebrities. We are real people.” Even though he’s addressed his infidelity issues in other interviews, Jigga told Jones that beyond apologizing, the key is changing one’s behavior “You have to acknowledge the pain. You have to let that person have their say. You have to get on the floor, get on the mattress, and you have to really work through it and really be honest no matter how many times. It takes a while. It’s hard. It’s difficult to hear, it’s difficult to say, it’s difficult to listen to that pain. You have to be strong enough to go through that — and on the other side it’s beautiful.” Meanwhile, here’s another interesting aspect of the interview. Jones also asked if Jay-Z would have forgiven Beyoncé if she’d been the one to cheat. “I hope,” he said. “Because I love her the same way. No matter — no matter what side, I love her the same way.” Carter added: “Her strength…She’s the strongest woman I know. Her and my mother, they’re battling for number one,” the rapper concluded.
